Oakley's 2nd Birthday: She's a Wildflower Themed Party
Well guys – it's official! We have a two year old and she is full of sass and gets funnier every single day. She's confident and knows what she wants and now that she knows how to say it, we are quickly realizing we are in for some trouble lol but we couldn't be more obsessed with her. Oakley has taught us so much - how to have patience, how to let things go and laugh more, how to communicate better, how to have fun, live in the moment and love with every inch of our hearts.
We kept her party small and only invited immediate family from each side due to the CoronaVirus, however Oakley felt every bit of love from everyone who came to celebrate her. She enjoyed her new swing set, a bounce house, and a ball pit with all of our cousins.
It's so crazy what a difference a year makes! She was very much into opening her presents this year, her favorites currently are Minnie and Mickey Mouse, Puppy Pals, and anything Merimaid, Unicorn and animal related in general.
The Theme was "She's a Wildflower" or "Two Wild" and it was an absolute dream. With hues of orange, yellow, pink, and peach she was also surrounded by the flowers she loves as much as I do!
We kept things somewhat simple aside from her welcome table decor which included balloons, a fringe backdrop, DIY plastic flower steamers, a cake, tableware, and theme related signage. The rest of our family chipped in on the food and some other delicious deserts.
This stunning custom balloon arch was created by a few talented girls from Poppin Cleveland. They did SUCH an amazing job and it took them MAYBE 40 minutes... I was shocked! If you live in the Cleveland area you definitely need to check them out for your next party!!
This custom plastic fringe backdrop is from Glamfete (@glamfete) and I could not believe how easy it was to hang up... she does all the hardwork for you, and it is delivered in a box fully assembled and all you have to do is find the string it's all knotted to and hang it up where you want it!
We had a ton of table decor that we ordered from Ellie and Piper Co. (@ellieandpiperco), her site has some stunning party decor for all kinds of trending themes! I was going crazy adding to my cart because everything is so cute! These flower, yellow, and pink plates, the ombre cups, napkins, table confetti and #2 cake topper can all be found on their website!
If anything completely pulled Oakley's birthday party decor together completely it's the signage that was made by Thread Mama (@threadmama_story) , she is SO talented and these prints she sent will for sure be hung in Oakley's bedroom!
Her beautiful cake was made by The Hive Cake Studio (@thehivecakestudio) located in Amherst, OH. It was SERIOUSLY delicious and absolutely adorable. When I picked it up I couldn't leave without buying a few other baked goods as well! Also pictured, these adorable daisy sunglasses are from Ellie and Piper!
Okay and I think my absolute favorite part of the decor (and maybe I'm just biased because I'm a sucker for a good DIY!) but these flower garlands my mom and I made came out SO dang cute, we're for sure going to re-use them, most likely in Oakley's bedroom. Click here for more details on what I used to make them!
